Job Description:

 

We are seeking a compassionate, professional and responsible Daycare Assistant to provide exceptional care for our clients’ dogs. This role involves ensuring dogs are fed, exercised, and comfortable in their owners' absence. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their wellbeing, offering peace of mind to our dog owners. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs from Miniature Dachshunds to Great Danes!

Duties

​

Clean and maintain all areas adhering to strict procedures, ensuring a hygienic environment

Feed, water, and administer medication to dogs as required

Provide daily exercise through playtime and scheduled walks in all weathers of up to 4 dogs. This will be tailored to individual dog’s needs

Monitor and record pets’ behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to owners or veterinary professionals

Follow the enrichment schedule to ensure adequate play, mental and physical stimulation, cuddles and quiet times

Offer companionship and comfort to pets during their owner's absence

 

Requirements

 

Previous dog care experience is essential

Ofqual Level 2 or above training is highly desirable 

Strong demonstrable understanding of animal behaviour and needs

Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with dog owners.

Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to detail in caring for dogs’ wellbeing

Organised with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
