DOG DAY CARE TERMS & CONDITIONS
STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR DOG DAY CARE
By allowing a dog to attend Dexter’s Doggy Daycare and accepting the services provided by Dexter’s Doggy Daycare and its staff, the client is considered to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
OPENING HOURS
Dexter’s Doggy Daycare is open from 07:30-18:00 Monday to Friday. It is closed on weekends, bank holidays and during the period between Christmas and New Year.
PAYMENTS
Bookings and Payments are made in advance via our booking system.
1. By enrolling the dog(s), I confirm that I am the legal owner of the named dog(s) and I assume all risks, dangers and responsibility for injuries to the named dog(s).
2. All dogs must pass a general behaviour assessment in a trial session in order to attend daycare. No dog may be admitted that shows any signs of any type of fear aggression/reactive behaviour. Any dog demonstrating aggression or other behaviour deemed to be unacceptable by Dexter’s Doggy Daycare staff may be required to leave daycare irrespective of the length of time the dog has been enrolled in Dexter’s. There will be no refunds or partial refunds for any sessions cancelled or shortened due to a dog being removed early for behavioural reasons. I therefore, confirm my dog(s) is friendly to other dogs and humans and shows no aggression unless I have made you fully aware of it.
3. My dog(s) is fit and healthy to take part in any activities whilst at Dexter’s Doggy Daycare, and is capable of play and exercise with other dogs unless I have made you aware.
4. For my dog to partake in enrichment activities and games which will include feeding any treats/food I have provided.
5. My dog(s) will at all times while attending Dexter’s Doggy Daycare, have current vaccinations including the Canine Infectious Tracheobronchitis (Kennel Cough) vaccine and regular, prescribed treatment for worms, ticks and fleas. I will provide Dexter’s Doggy Daycare with an up to date copy of my dog(s) vaccination record annually. My dog(s) has not been suffering from any potentially infectious or contagious diseases/illnesses or been exposed to such a disease/illness during the 21 days prior to attending Dexter’s Doggy Daycare. Any ill health be it deemed contagious or otherwise must be disclosed prior to your dog(s) being collected or dropped off for daycare when Dexter’s Doggy Daycare will decide if the dog should be accepted at the facility.
I am responsible for ensuring the efficacy of any treatment that I give my dog(s) for worms, fleas and ticks. In addition, I agree to check my dog regularly for ticks and fleas and to inform Dexter’s Doggy Daycare of any infestation. In the event of any fleas being present, I understand my dog(s) will not be able to attend daycare until they are flea free.
6. I understand that even though my dog is vaccinated for Kennel Cough there is a chance that Kennel Cough can still be contracted. I agree that I will NOT hold Dexter’s Doggy Daycare responsible if my dog(s) contracts Kennel Cough. The Kennel Cough vaccine must have been administered at least two weeks prior to your dog(s) entering daycare. If my dog(s) is showing symptoms of Kennel Cough or is suspected to have Kennel Cough, Dexter’s Doggy Daycare will return the dog home as soon as they are able to do so.
7. I will declare any medical history, specifically any condition or illness that may still be ongoing particularly if they are or have been contagious and/or affects your dog(s) ability to partake in daycare activities.
8. I will inform Dexter’s Doggy Daycare if my dog(s) has suffered from a contagious illness/disease for at least 2 weeks prior to attending daycare. In addition, whilst your dog(s) is registered with us for daycare, any subsequent illnesses (contagious or otherwise) must be reported to Dexter’s Doggy Daycare irrespective of whether they are due to attend daycare that day or not.
9. To give Dexter’s consent to administer any medication prescribed by a veterinarian.
10. My dog(s) will wear a suitable collar with an identity tag at all times and has been microchipped.
11. Female dogs who come into season will not be able to attend Dexter’s Doggy Daycare for the duration of their season (usually 2 – 3 weeks).
12. Dexter’s Doggy Daycare reserve the right not to accept entire male dogs into daycare beyond 1 year of age.
13. To have appropriate insurance to cover my dog(s) personal injury in the unlikely event of an incident alternatively, I agree to cover any costs relating to accidents that may occur at the facility which result in injury to my dog. All dog interaction and dog play is monitored by daycare staff however, I understand my dog(s) may sustain accidental injuries and I agree to cover any veterinary fees pertaining to my dog. Dexter’s Doggy Daycare nor its employees will not accept responsibility for the death, injury or illness of your dog whilst at daycare. You are strongly advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.
14. My dog(s) is able to share play/rest areas within the day care centre and attend off site, group walks (max 4 dogs).
15. My dog(s) will be kept on a lead at all times on walks away from the Dexter’s Doggy Daycare.
16. My dog(s) will be at least 1 year of age to be able to attend the daycare.
17. I hereby give Dexter’s Doggy Daycare staff permission to administer first aid treatment to my dog(s) in the event of a medical emergency. Any such member of the Dexter’s Doggy Daycare staff administering first aid will hold a valid first aid certificate.
18. We reserve the right to act in the best interests of the dog at all times this includes seeking veterinary advice if he/she becomes ill. We will contact you immediately should your dog become ill. If you or your emergency contact cannot be contacted within a reasonable time we reserve the right to seek appropriate and swift veterinary attention and proceed with treatment regardless of costs, which you agree to cover. We will do everything needed for the dog as regards treatment, comfort and recovery. If euthanasia is absolutely necessary (determined by the vet) for whatever reason excluding behavioural (aggression etc) we will accept and act upon that vet advice.
19. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times upon arrival to the site and after collection at the end of the day.
20. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any dog or to dismiss any dog that does not meet the health, temperament or other daycare standards. The determination shall be made at the sole discretion of daycare staff. This will include aggressive behaviour towards staff and other dogs and any destructive or unreasonable behaviour.
21. I hereby give Dexter’s Doggy Daycare permission to use any photographs taken of my dog(s) for use on our website and/or social media pages.
22. I hereby give Dexter’s Doggy Daycare permission to hold my personal details provided on registration on their online database and I understand no other person has access to my data with the exception of Dexter’s Doggy Daycare staff. This information will not be passed on or shared with any other third party without my prior consent.
Please note, we require no less than 24 hours notice of any cancellations. Any late cancellations will be liable for the full charge if we are unable to fill the space. In addition there will be a charge of £5 per 15 minutes for any dog(s) collected from the facility after 6pm. In addition, clients with a regular booking may cancel for up to 2 consecutive weeks without charge, after which your usual daycare rate will be charged on your regular day/s.
Dexter’s Doggy Daycare holds a Combined Liability Insurance Policy which covers loss and/or damage to third party property and/or bodily injury to third party persons. Please ask for more details regarding the insured risks and we will be pleased to provide further information.
